HELP us choose a PAINT COLOR for our Kitchen & Win an Envelope FULL of COUPONS and other Goodies

Ok. Guys! We live in a house where EVERY wall is WHITE!  We are painting our KITCHEN this weekend and we want to ADD COLOR!!! Problem is we have NO idea what COLOR! We have NO artistic vision at ALL and need HELP!!!  :o)

Tell us what color to paint our kitchen walls and if we choose YOUR color we will mail you a HUGE envelope FULL of Coupons and other goodies :o)

Our house was built in 1979. We bought it in 1998 when it was 19 years old. I fell in LOVE with this kitchen 14 years ago but NOW I am NOT liking it too much. It needs updated. Unfortunately we can not afford to do that right now SO We've decided to do a $200 makeover, including paint, new curtains and maybe new knobs for on the cabinets if our budget allows.  Our 1979 "farmhouse" "country" kitchen needs a different "feel"! We are tired of that look. We are getting RID of the apple curtains and the bird photos and looking for something more warm. More natural.

Can you help?  Reply to my FB post with your paint colors suggestion!  And THANKS :o)

Here are some pictures of our kitchen.

  1. Well you want something warm because you have brick. So I would say try something daring and also hot on the model home market with a color like "anjou pear" from Sherwin Williams.

We actually painted our kitchen this color and it looks magnificent! Good luck in whatever you choose and no regrets!

  2. We just used this (http://cabinets.rustoleumtransformations.com/) in white to redo our dark cabinets and they turned out amazing. Surely there's a way to buy it cheaper than in the 'kit'. We went with a green on our walls. What are you doing with the brick? We have some too and I'm just going to paint it and see what it looks like. ( Love the anjou pear in the above post! )

  3. We are keeping the brick for now and just leaving it the way it is. I will def check out the anjou pear that you're recommending. Thanks!!

  4. I would whitewash the cabinets, it would still show the grain of the wood but would brighten the kitchen. It would also keep with your farmhouse feel. Keep the hardware. Paint the walls a soft warm color like the pear mentioned above.
